About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Plan transportation loads and manage orders prior to shipment
Manage specialized recovery and ensure on-time delivery
Execute product transportation using available tools and processes
Collaborate with customer service, carriers, facilities, and deployment teams
Make independent decisions based on customer needs, facility requirements, and carrier capacity
Support the Nestlé Operational Master Plan, Continuous Excellence Initiatives, and Continuous Process Improvement efforts
Resolve conflicts and discrepancies
Manage planning anomalies and analyze non-routine problems
Validate plans and maintain accurate data
Connect appointments with transit times
Create optimized freight orders
Select carriers and manage order changes, rush requests, and accessorial validation
Oversee day-to-day carrier management
Manage on-time pickup and delivery schedules
Track shipments in transit and mitigate potential risks
Maintain date and appointment accuracy
Manage exceptions
Build relationships with internal and external customers
Communicate daily about successes and improvement areas
Pursue continuous education in Transportation and Supply Chain practices
Handle confidential information discreetly
Attend meetings, participate in projects, travel, and undergo training as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma
Transportation and/or logistics experience preferred
Experience in a tactical and fast-paced office environment
Strong customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Analytical, decision-making, and good judgment skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to handle shifting priority requirements
Ability to thrive in a team environment
Resilience to and willingness to embrace change
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
