About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and support all sensory testing activities
- Lead descriptive trained panels and end-to-end sensory tests
- Manage, onboard, develop, train, and maintain descriptive sensory panels
- Monitor panel performance and implement actions to maintain high-quality sensory data
- Design sensory references and training materials; manage the sensory reference database
- Plan and execute sensory training and calibration sessions
- Manage sensory studies end-to-end, including test design, coordination, data collection, analysis, and communication of results
- Select and apply appropriate sensory methodologies
- Organize and lead descriptive sensory panel sessions
- Manage methodology, data analysis, and reporting of shelf-life studies
- Perform univariate and multivariate statistical analyses of sensory data
- Translate technical findings into actionable business insights and recommendations
- Support development and deployment of sensory specifications for new products
- Lead local and global sensory initiatives
- Develop and manage sensory glossaries and sample preparation protocols
- Coach specialists, technicians, and cross-functional team members on sensory best practices
- Design and deliver sensory science training programs
- Contribute to continuous improvement of sensory methodologies, processes, and laboratory practices
- Support implementation of sensory standards, tools, and best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree or equivalent in Food Science, Sensory Science, or related field
- Solid experience in quantitative sensory descriptive analysis methods
- Experience in quantitative descriptive panel training and moderation
- Experience with a variety of univariate and multivariate sensory statistical analyses
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer skills: MS-Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience with sensory data collection and statistical software
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Flexible work hours, as required by the business
- Eligible for visa sponsorship
