About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement and execute the factory asset maintenance programme
- Repair, report and analyse unplanned technical failures
- Execute planned and scheduled maintenance to prevent unplanned failures
- Provide technical expertise to reduce technical and production losses
- Coach and/or participate in problem solving, implement solutions, share knowledge and build competence
- Provide input for the annual maintenance budget
- Report and track maintenance work-order costs
- Support production to eliminate quality defects, safety risks and chronic technical issues
- Lead and participate in breakdown analysis
- Participate in maintenance routines and ensure activities are scheduled and executed on time and to a high standard
- Assist with the technical training programme for factory operational staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- NVQ Level 3 and National Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Time served apprenticeship
- Ideally dual trained in mechanical and electrical disciplines
- Proven experience in manufacturing; food industry experience preferable
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Experience in installation, inspection and testing, such as minor works training or City and Guilds
- Strong problem-solving and fault-diagnosis skills
- Previous knowledge of a Computerised Maintenance Management System
- Right to work in the UK without Nestlé sponsorship
