About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform routine and planned maintenance in utilities areas, including boilers, hot-air furnaces, sludge presses, EVACs, refrigeration systems, the ammonia room, pump room, wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), and cooling towers
  • Support equipment operation or operate equipment when necessary or as required
  • Follow Health and Safety instructions, apply LOTO, and participate in accident prevention programs
  • Perform sampling, testing, and process and product controls related to Food Quality and Safety
  • Follow Sustainability instructions to prevent environmental impacts
  • Participate in cost-reduction and performance-improvement initiatives, as well as routine management meetings
  • Apply analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement tools to processes, people, and products
  • Record the completion of planned AMM, cleaning, centerline, QMS, defect recurrence, and SHE activities
  • Participate in the maintenance strategy and perform preventive and corrective activities with the Maintenance and Manufacturing teams
  • Participate in training and contribute to defining standards and monitoring new projects by providing mechanical and operational information

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma
  • Completed technical course in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or Electrical Technology
  • Previous experience in manufacturing environments, in operations or maintenance, is preferred
