About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve territory sales targets and objectives
  • Build customer relationships through face-to-face meetings, needs identification, product presentations, and sales negotiations
  • Monitor competitor insights and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports to management and customers
  • Deliver sales KPIs including shelf management, presell, compliance, and high-impact display execution
  • Identify in-store opportunities including incremental distribution and off-location displays
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of Merchandisers
  • Visit customers and stakeholders to build relationships and drive sales growth
  • Travel to Yorke Peninsula every six weeks for three nights, attend conferences, and participate in sales meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Field sales or retail experience preferred, ideally in FMCG
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Ability to plan and manage travel schedules efficiently
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Power BI
  • Valid full driver’s license
  • Full Australian working rights
  • May be required to undergo pre-employment checks, including health checks
