About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain production-grade backend services supporting AI usage metering, reporting, billing integrations, and model availability
Design and develop data pipelines and event-driven systems processing usage and product data at scale
Build cloud-native services using C#, AWS, and modern backend architecture patterns
Develop integrations across AI, product, data, billing, and platform systems
Write high-quality, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
Contribute to system design and architecture decisions for backend services, data pipelines, and integrations
Evaluate technical trade-offs and establish scalable patterns for the AI Growth platform
Design distributed systems using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and S3
Translate product and business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Own reliability and operational health of services; investigate and resolve production issues
Monitor system health and improve performance, reliability, and scalability
Build systems with production support, observability, and maintainability in mind
Partner with AI Tools, Business Intelligence, Finance, Platform Engineering, and Product teams
Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into engineering solutions
Support engineers through code reviews, pairing, and sharing technical context
Own work from requirements through implementation, deployment, and ongoing support
Establish technical practices and processes as the AI Growth team matures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production-grade systems
Strong experience building distributed backend services using C# or a comparable backend language
Experience with AWS or Azure and modern cloud-native backend architecture patterns
Experience building or maintaining data pipelines, event-driven systems, or analytics infrastructure
Experience designing and operating reliable production services
Experience collaborating across engineering, product, data, or other technical teams to deliver integrated solutions
Experience building billing, metering, usage tracking, or rate-limiting systems
Experience with product analytics, instrumentation, or usage-based data systems
Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and S3
Experience with Snowflake, Kafka, or similar data and event-streaming technologies
Experience building systems that connect product usage data with commercial or billing workflows
