About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with product managers, business teams, and Data Science & Engineering colleagues to design metrics, develop analytic tools, and perform analyses supporting content media operations at scale
  • Develop and execute measurement frameworks quantifying how GenAI-powered and other media creation innovations improve operational efficiency and creative flexibility
  • Drive work direction and develop solutions ranging from scrappy code and prototype tools to high-visibility dashboards and analyses for Business and Product & Tech leadership
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with business, product, and data-oriented stakeholders
  • Introduce and influence data-informed ways of working
  • Collaborate with Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers to source and model content production workflow data
  • Strengthen foundational data models
  • Identify ways to integrate insights that improve creative decision-making throughout the content creation workflow
  • Help steer global media production strategy, identify innovation opportunities, and measure the impact of innovation bets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience with data wrangling, data analysis, metric visualization, and data storytelling to both technical and non-technical product and business stakeholders
  • Expert in SQL and Python
  • Intuitive dashboard/visualization design using common data visualization tools such as Plotly and Streamlit
  • Ability to define measurement from the ground up for new technology
  • Curiosity and ability to thrive with minimal oversight and process
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to independently connect the dots across business problems
  • Experience developing and deepening relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Experience partnering closely with executive leadership
  • Proven track record of influencing strategic decisions through data
  • Alignment with Netflix culture
