About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, prioritize, lead, and execute research roadmaps that generate insights to inform product strategies across the company
  • Partner with cross-functional teams at the intersection of Product and Content, including Product Innovation, Design, Data Science, Engineering, Content Strategy, Product Marketing, and Communications
  • Define, design, execute, and socialize research studies that build understanding of existing and future audiences and their experiences around the world
  • Identify best practices in existing and emerging research methodologies
  • Generate insights to empower business and product decisions across the company
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and shape fast-moving, newer company-wide bets, including games and other expanding Netflix offerings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 7+ years of demonstrable experience in product research and/or user experience (UX) research
  • Experience designing and leading end-to-end, complex quantitative research studies
  • Ability to define research questions, identify appropriate methods, execute studies, and synthesize findings with statistical rigor
  • Strong communication skills and ability to proactively collaborate with multiple teams across the company
  • Ability to translate findings into actionable strategic business recommendations
  • An advanced degree in psychology, social sciences, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Global research experience is highly preferred but not required
  • Familiarity or experience with futurecasting, design strategy, innovation frameworks, and research in emergent areas is preferred but not required
  • Experience, passion and/or interest in games is preferred but not required
