About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and scale the test infrastructure behind the Netflix TVUI CI platform
Own orchestration services, CLI tools, device fleets, and observability for large-scale test execution
Support screenshot, end-to-end, performance, and on-device test suites
Maintain the operational health and reliability of owned systems
Instrument systems deeply and use data to guide test-infrastructure investments
Mitigate risk across a diverse device ecosystem
Enable TV UI engineers to build, test, and ship features with speed, quality, and confidence
Define project scope and debate architecture
Identify trade-offs and determine implementation details
Collaborate with engineers and understand their use cases

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience operating distributed test infrastructure at scale
Experience with test orchestration and execution pipelines, including parallelization, sharding, and predictive test selection
Experience building test frameworks
Experience with test stability and flakiness mitigation
Familiarity with UI Test Frameworks and Automation, including Puppeteer, Playwright, Jest, and Vitest
Experience scaling and tuning test performance across device pools
Experience with CI/CD systems, including Jenkins, BuildKite, and GitHub Actions
Strong ownership of reliability and incident response for owned systems
Experience optimizing runtime performance of test pipelines
Experience with agentic PR/CI workflows
TypeScript/JavaScript experience
Ability to write elegantly designed, maintainable, and performant software
Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships
