About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, and infrastructure architects to design, modernize, and improve core data systems powering SOC services
Support platform security, reliability, and performance in line with SOC operational requirements
Design and develop an automated, scalable, and secure Private Cloud platform
Use AI in system design and infrastructure
Implement changes related to Linux-based infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and large-scale data systems
Optimize search and analytics platforms supporting high-volume data environments
Contribute to automation, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure-as-code implementations
Contribute to technical direction, best practices, and platform reliability at scale

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience in system development and/or infrastructure engineering
Familiar with virtualization and storage technologies
Working knowledge of Linux environments
Understanding of container technologies such as Docker and LXC
Understanding of infrastructure automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or SaltStack
Understanding of search and analytics engines such as Apache Solr, Elasticsearch, Algolia, Sphinx, or similar technologies
Familiar with large-scale document-oriented databases
Strong written and spoken English; Finnish considered a plus
Ability to obtain required security clearance
Confidence in passing Finnish Security and Intelligence Service (SUPO) background check procedures
Proficiency in programming such as Python or Go is a strong advantage
Experience in database architecture and performance optimization is a strong advantage
Secure development and DevSecOps principles are a strong advantage
Background spanning system administration, platform engineering, and development is a strong advantage
