About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with customers to solve technical and operational challenges
Develop automated solutions for modern networks
Maintain frequent client communications
Lead interactive discovery and design sessions
Participate in regular meetings to ensure client satisfaction
Influence client opinions through technical recommendations and responses to objections
Identify project risks and challenges, develop resolution plans, and support troubleshooting
Track project progress and correct delays
Perform peer reviews, provide guidance, and contribute to code best practices
Collaborate with Engineers and Managing Consultants on automation designs and technology stacks
Lead customer calls and explain solution tradeoffs to executive leadership
Translate manual workflows into high-level and low-level designs
Develop technical documentation for client solutions
Adopt new technologies and demonstrate technical excellence
Participate in the full project lifecycle from assessment through deployment and documentation
Develop software for internal and customer-facing projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in a customer-facing, consulting role
Ability to break down complex concepts and present them clearly and concisely to varied audiences
Ability to make usability decisions involving naming, user experience, complexity tradeoffs, layout, and mapping technical solutions to customers' skillsets
Comfortable context switching and working on multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with CI/CD applied to network automation
Experience with data management concepts, including IaC and Source of Truth strategy
Familiarity with Ansible and/or Python for automating networking devices
Familiarity with Flask/Django for creating custom APIs
Familiarity with pytest, Nornir, Netmiko, NAPALM, Batfish, Salt, and Robot Framework
Familiarity with traditional Git workflows
Strong understanding of Source of Truth automation strategy
CCNP or equivalent networking knowledge
