About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Run and tune the client's Microsoft Purview setup from day one
  • Manage sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, insider risk, and eDiscovery
  • Work with Purview in a live production tenant
  • Help grow and scale the enterprise data protection program
  • Report program progress and capabilities to legal, compliance, and security leaders
  • Partner with Security, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, IT, Data Governance, and business stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 7 years in IT Security
  • 5+ years in Data Protection
  • Hands-on experience implementing and operating enterprise-class DSPM, DLP, Information Protection, Records Management, eDiscovery, Insider Risk, and Data Governance solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar security control tools
  • Experience building sensitivity-label taxonomies, configuring auto-labeling, and deploying labels
  • Experience writing and tuning Purview DLP policies across Exchange, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams, and endpoints, and working alerts
  • Microsoft 365 security administration experience, including roles, RBAC, and Entra ID basics
  • Direct experience working with legal, compliance, privacy, or audit teams
  • Experience in at least one of: eDiscovery Premium and legal holds; Insider Risk Management or Communication Compliance; retention policies and records management; DSPM or sensitive-data discovery outside Microsoft 365
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret job-related documents and communications in English
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
  • Prolonged computer use and ability to operate computer equipment
  • Preferred certifications: SC-401, SC-400, SC-100, or SC-200
