About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You support the establishment, operation, and continuous improvement of information security management systems based on ISO/IEC 27001 and/or BSI IT-Grundschutz.
You conduct risk and gap analyses, identify areas requiring action, and derive appropriate security measures.
You develop security policies, concepts, and clear, auditable documentation.
You prepare for internal and external audits and support the implementation of the resulting measures.
You support information protection needs assessments and coordinate business continuity and emergency management topics.
You advise business units, IT, and management, and communicate requirements in workshops and coordination meetings.
You contribute your expertise to customer projects throughout the digital product development lifecycle.

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least five years of relevant professional experience in information security management or ISMS consulting.
Extensive practical experience with ISO/IEC 27001 and/or BSI IT-Grundschutz, along with a solid understanding of complementary standards and methodologies.
Experience assessing information security risks and implementing organizational and technical measures.
Ability to communicate complex security topics clearly and advance measures collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Completed relevant degree or comparable qualification combined with appropriate practical experience.
German proficiency at C2 level and good English skills.
Willingness to travel for project-related customer assignments within Germany.
Security clearance may be required for individual projects.
Certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, Lead Auditor, CISM, or a qualification in BSI IT-Grundschutz are welcome.
Experience in the public sector or regulated industries is also an advantage.
