About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop digital health applications, particularly in the area of electronic patient records (ePA)
  • Translate functional requirements and gematik specifications into intuitive user flows and well-considered interfaces
  • Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries
  • Create complex interactive prototypes in Figma
  • Plan and support user research, interviews, and usability testing
  • Derive actionable improvements from research findings
  • Analyze existing applications and conduct UX audits
  • Develop design concepts and recommendations for action
  • Facilitate workshops and present concepts to clients and project stakeholders
  • Work closely with subject-matter experts and development teams
  • Document design decisions in a clear and traceable manner

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least five years of professional experience in the German healthcare sector
  • Several years of experience providing UX consulting services to statutory health insurers or other payers
  • Several years of project experience with telematics infrastructure applications, particularly ePA, TI-Messenger, and GesundheitsID or a sectoral Identity Provider (sIDP)
  • Experience translating gematik specifications into UX/UI concepts and concrete designs
  • Proficiency in Figma, design systems, and extensive interactive prototypes
  • Strong knowledge of user research, usability, and accessible design
  • Relevant UX qualification, such as a certification from UXQB, Fraunhofer, or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience conducting client workshops and presentations
  • Excellent written and spoken German
