About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and communicate actionable insights that shape brand strategy and tactics
- Partner with Marketing, Managed Markets, Medical, Operations, Finance, and the global partner to support U.S. and global launch decisions
- Report to the Senior Director, Insights & Analytics
- Build and manage a comprehensive insights-generation plan addressing key business questions
- Lead qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary market research projects in accordance with compliance policies and best practices
- Interpret market research and data analytics to generate meaningful, actionable, and differentiating insights
- Build understanding of the brand, molecule, and therapeutic area
- Consolidate insights from primary market research, forecasting, analytics, and competitive intelligence into recommendations
- Develop analysis for strategic product planning, situational analysis, product positioning, promotional concepts, and messaging
- Monitor market developments and competitors
- Evaluate new data sources, tools, and research partners
- Manage third-party vendors
- Create reports and presentations highlighting actionable insights, business implications, and strategic and tactical options
- Manage the budget for primary research and syndicated studies
- Provide thought leadership and innovative analytical capabilities to support business priorities
- Communicate complex and dynamic information in creative ways
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical/health care industry experience, including 8 years of primary market research experience
- Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research techniques
- Subject-matter expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Expertise connecting, integrating, and synthesizing analysis and data into actionable strategic recommendations
- Strong business and marketing acumen
- Attention to detail and project management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to solve complex business problems with practical solutions and limited resources
- Flexibility and agility in changing business environments
- Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and influence without authority
- Transparent communication and sound judgment
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Strategic and analytical mindset
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to conduct complex analyses and translate data into actionable insights
- Demonstrated proficiency using artificial intelligence tools for research and analysis
- Sound judgment regarding AI accuracy, confidentiality, compliance, and responsible use
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Candidates residing in the Northeastern United States are preferred
- Ability to travel based on business needs
