About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take technical ownership of electronic hardware throughout the product lifecycle
  • Review schematics, component selections, and technical documentation at component and PCBA levels
  • Drive troubleshooting and root cause analysis related to hardware, production, and customer issues
  • Ensure robust hardware solutions for high-volume production
  • Support hardware-related activities as production ramps up
  • Work with EMC, ESD, CAN communication, and hardware requirements
  • Set requirements and technically challenge suppliers, PCBA designers, and development partners
  • Collaborate across electronics, mechatronics, and software
  • Identify root causes across components, PCBs, cables, motors, software interfaces, and other system elements
  • Review and challenge supplier and development-partner technical solutions for suitability and production robustness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least ten years of relevant experience in electronic hardware
  • University degree in electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field
  • Deep expertise in electronic hardware
  • Ability to read and review electronic schematics and work at component level while understanding the complete system
  • Experience in electronic hardware design, verification, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with CAN communication, EMC, and ESD
  • Experience with high-volume production and moving from development/prototypes into serial production
  • Experience in the automotive industry or another safety-critical environment is highly valuable
  • Knowledge of mechatronics and BLDC motors is an advantage
  • Technically curious, hands-on, and comfortable challenging suppliers and making technical decisions
  • Professional proficiency in English is required
  • Swedish is considered an advantage
  • Willingness to make occasional travel to China and the United States
