About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own problems end-to-end, from initial discovery through production delivery and support
- Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, engineers, testers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver solutions
- Design and implement backend services, web applications, APIs, integrations, data flows, and cloud-based solutions
- Build prototypes, validate solutions with users, and iteratively improve outcomes
- Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, security, resilience, maintainability, and operational readiness
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools for development, testing, troubleshooting, code reviews, migrations, and documentation
- Review and validate AI-generated outputs for quality, security, and correctness
- Drive technical decision-making, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices
- Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, integrations, infrastructure, and data environments
- Mentor team members and communicate technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Based in Czechia
- Strong hands-on experience delivering production software in enterprise environments
- Experience across software development, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, CI/CD, testing, and production operations
- Ability to transform unclear requirements into production-ready solutions
- Strong understanding of software architecture, security, scalability, performance, maintainability, and operational excellence
- Experience with distributed systems and enterprise integrations
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills
- Experience making technical decisions under uncertainty and documenting architectural choices
- Practical experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted engineering tools
- Understanding of AI-assisted development practices, including validation of generated outputs and awareness of AI-related risks
- Excellent communication skills and professional proficiency in English
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin, Python, Django, FastAPI, React, or TypeScript (nice to have)
- Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Infrastructure as Code, and GitHub Actions (nice to have)
- Knowledge of Kafka, Azure Service Bus, API gateways, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB (nice to have)
- Experience with RAG, Agentic AI, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI observability, or application modernization initiatives (nice to have)
- Background in logistics, pricing, planning, workflow automation, or enterprise platform development (nice to have)
