About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify breakthrough product concepts for high-impact markets such as Automotive/EV, Data Centers, and AI Infrastructure
- Partner with GaN, SiC, and MOS teams to define future power trees and architectures
- Translate customer requirements into technical IC specifications and Product Requirement Documents (PRDs)
- Act as the core technical link between external customers and internal analog/digital design and validation teams
- Conduct performance, cost, and risk feasibility studies to maximize technical differentiation
- Shape the future of Nexperia’s product offerings as part of its R&D organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 10+ years in semiconductor systems engineering, applications, or product definition
- Strong understanding of power electronics, topologies, and analog/mixed-signal ICs
- Proven ability to translate complex system needs into actionable hardware specifications
- Preferred: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
- Preferred: Experience defining PMICs, multi-phase regulators, or power trees for AI or Automotive systems
- Preferred: Familiarity with simulation, power integrity, thermal/EMI constraints, and silicon validation
- Preferred: Experience with GaN, SiC, and BCD processes/products
- Preferred: 3+ years in IC Design
- Preferred: Multiple patents in semiconductor product/circuit or power topology design
