About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage user identities, licenses, and groups using Azure AD and Microsoft 365 Admin Centers
- Administer Exchange Online, including mailboxes, distribution groups, mail flow rules, public folders, and anti-spam/malware policies
- Oversee SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business sites, permissions, storage, and external sharing policies
- Configure and manage Microsoft Teams environments, policies, channels, apps, and integrations
- Implement and manage Microsoft Intune for device and application management
- Administer Azure AD Conditional Access, SSO, and MFA services
- Monitor and manage Microsoft 365 security features, including threat protection, DLP, and eDiscovery
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for Microsoft 365 services
- Diagnose and resolve account, mail flow, SharePoint, Teams, and device-management issues
- Collaborate with end-users and IT teams to support productive use of Microsoft 365 applications
- Implement security best practices and compliance policies
- Conduct security audits and maintain system integrity
- Monitor service health, security alerts, and audit logs
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for provisioning, reporting, and license management
- Use Power Automate to streamline Microsoft 365 processes
- Create and maintain configuration, process, and troubleshooting documentation
- Help develop and deliver end-user training materials
- Participate in planning, testing, and deployment of new Microsoft 365 features and services
- Contribute to on-premises-to-cloud and tenant-to-tenant migration projects
- Evaluate and recommend technologies to improve the Microsoft 365 environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in a dedicated Microsoft 365 Administrator role
- Proven expertise administering and supporting complex Microsoft 365 environments
- Experience with Azure Active Directory, including user/group management, Conditional Access, MFA, and PIM
- Experience with Exchange Online, including mail flow, anti-spam, eDiscovery, and archiving
- Experience with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business, including site administration, permissions, and sharing policies
- Experience with Microsoft Teams policy management and app integration
- Experience with Microsoft Intune device enrollment, compliance policies, and app deployment
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center, including DLP, threat protection, and audit logs
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell for Microsoft 365 administration and automation
- Solid understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, and VPN as they relate to cloud services
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or Security Administrator Associate
- Preferred: Experience with hybrid environments and Azure AD Connect
- Preferred: Familiarity with Power Platform administration and governance, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
- Preferred: Experience with third-party Microsoft 365 backup and recovery solutions
- Preferred: Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices
