About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and improve budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts, long-term planning, and data analysis
  • Build, maintain, and improve integrated financial models covering P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, liquidity, investment cases, sensitivities, and growth scenarios
  • Perform actual-vs-budget/forecast variance analysis, identify operational and financial drivers, challenge assumptions, and recommend corrective actions
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly management reporting, KPI dashboards, executive analyses, and materials for senior management
  • Maintain understanding of German HGB accounting and reporting principles and align management reporting, planning, and analysis with statutory accounting
  • Partner with Accounting during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes to ensure reliable financial data
  • Develop scalable FP&A processes, reporting structures, KPI frameworks, financial controls, and planning methodologies
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis for pricing, cost optimization, investment decisions, organizational planning, and strategic initiatives
  • Establish and monitor financial and operational KPIs, including revenue, gross margin, OPEX, EBITDA, cash flow, working capital, and productivity
  • Support Finance function evolution through standardization, automation, internal controls, documentation, governance, and process improvement
  • Work closely with Accounting, Sales, and other functions to translate financial data into actionable goals and insights

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Finanzen, Rechnungswesen, Volkswirtschaftslehre, Betriebswirtschaftslehre oder einer verwandten Fachrichtung
  • CFA, Bilanzbuchhalterprüfung, Qualifikation als Controller oder eine vergleichbare berufliche Zertifizierung von Vorteil
  • Berufserfahrung in FP&A, Controlling, Corporate Finance, Finanzanalyse oder einer vergleichbaren Finanzfunktion
  • Sehr gute praktische Kenntnisse des deutschen HGB sowie Erfahrung mit Jahresabschlüssen und Berichtswesen in einem deutschen Geschäftsumfeld
  • Fundierte Kenntnisse der Gewinn- und Verlustrechnung, Bilanz, Cashflow-Rechnung, des Management Accounting, der Budgetierung, Prognoseerstellung, des Working Capital und der Steuerung der finanziellen Unternehmensperformance
  • Sehr gute Excel-Kenntnisse, einschließlich komplexer Finanzmodellierung, Sensitivitäts- und Szenarioanalysen, PivotTables usw.
  • Fähigkeit, in einem wachsenden Unternehmen effektiv zu arbeiten und Prozesse weiterzuentwickeln, die anfangs möglicherweise manuell, fragmentiert oder für künftige organisatorische Anforderungen noch nicht ausreichend sind
