About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Test products and solutions across platform, functional, feature, solution, and regression testing
Perform manual testing and build or enhance test automation using scripting
Design and maintain testbeds
Qualify software releases and deliver on quality metrics
Collaborate with POC engineers on customer-specific testing efforts during proofs of concept
Collaborate with software, hardware, and support engineering teams to reproduce faults
Regularly update test scripts to prevent recurrence of bugs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in test, QA, or solutions testing roles
Hands-on testing experience is required
Proficiency in networking technologies, network protocols, network designs, and deployments
Hands-on experience across diverse Network Operating Systems (NOS), such as IOS, IOS-XR, EOS, and Junos
Proficiency with well-known traffic generators and network test hardware and software solutions
Experience with SONiC or another open-source operating system is highly desirable
Ability to write effective test plans and debug and troubleshoot complex networking issues across hardware and software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, programming languages such as C and C++, and automation tools such as Ansible is a plus
Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and databases such as SQL and NoSQL is a plus
