About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare simple Excel mechanical software calculations and data sheets
- Utilize CAD/SolidWorks and similar engineering software to prepare drawings for designed parts and manufacturing drawings
- Participate in engineering analysis of mechanical components using Ansys or similar analytical software
- Create and update drawings
- Perform simple design analysis
- Assist multiple engineers with daily tasks
- Complete unique assignments supporting larger projects
- Perform additional activities as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Junior or Senior class standing
- Must be enrolled in an Engineering or Computer Science program, or recently graduated with a BS in Engineering or BS in Computer Science
- Familiarity with Excel mechanical software calculations and data sheets
- Ability to utilize engineering software such as CAD, SolidWorks, Ansys, or similar analytical software
- Ability to create and update drawings
- Ability to perform simple design analysis
- Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary
- Ability to talk or hear and close vision with ability to adjust focus
