About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support technical evaluations, inspections, and troubleshooting of cryogenic pumps and related equipment
  • Support engineering review of equipment received at the Houston Service Center for repair, overhaul, or inspection
  • Collect, organize, and analyze technical and equipment data
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, manuals, and technical documentation
  • Prepare and update engineering documentation, inspection reports, repair documentation, and technical procedures
  • Support root-cause analysis and investigations of equipment failures or performance issues
  • Perform measurements, dimensional inspections, and component verification using appropriate inspection tools
  • Support process improvement and continuous improvement projects
  • Identify opportunities to improve service center workflows, repair processes, quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Create spreadsheets, calculations, charts, and other engineering analyses
  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions, procedures, and technical documentation
  • Participate in meetings and project discussions with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Service personnel
  • Work with technicians and repair personnel to understand equipment, repair processes, and field service requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Follow company safety, quality, environmental, and compliance requirements
  • Observe and support repair and inspection activities on the service center floor
  • Perform other assigned duties and engineering projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Junior or Senior standing preferred
  • Graduate engineering students may also be considered
  • Previous internship, co-op, laboratory, manufacturing, or hands-on technical experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with engineering projects, CAD, data analysis, or mechanical equipment is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working in both an office and industrial/service center environment
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, operations personnel, and other team members
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with CAD software is a plus
  • Ability to learn new technical systems, equipment, and processes quickly
  • Demonstrated interest in hands-on engineering and industrial equipment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, move around the facility, and safely handle or inspect components and equipment
  • Ability to follow safety, quality, environmental, compliance, PPE, and facility procedures
