About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, compressed air, and water treatment.
  • Repair, calibrate, and replace production support infrastructure, including boilers, chillers, waste treatment systems, forklifts, and cranes.
  • Coordinate service contracts, outside vendors, and contractors for facility repairs and capital projects.
  • Maintain stocked consumables using a Kanban or similar system.
  • Ensure consumables are available to employees in restrooms and on the production floor.
  • Ensure facility compliance with OSHA, EPA, fire codes, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with EHS to implement safety programs, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Develop sustainability initiatives involving energy efficiency, waste reduction, and water conservation.
  • Maintain emergency response readiness, including fire systems and backup power.
  • Coordinate with production leadership to minimize downtime from facility issues.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment by ensuring facility readiness.
  • Provide facilities input into capacity planning, layout changes, and expansion projects.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Three years of experience as a facilities specialist or maintenance technician in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and proficiency diagnosing and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and fluid systems/equipment.
  • Experience working on various material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead and jib cranes.
  • Experience operating forklifts.
  • Ability to work on-site during operational hours with occasional overtime as required.
