About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead month-end close activities related to cost accounting
- Manage balance sheet integrity, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis
- Lead Percentage of Completion revenue recognition for long-term contracts
- Monitor project financials, cost-to-complete, margins, and forecasts
- Manage unbilled revenue and deferred revenue accounts
- Partner with project managers and operations on cost tracking and revenue recognition
- Drive standard cost updates and labor, material, and overhead variance analysis
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Develop and maintain revenue, cost, and cash flow financial models
- Identify and implement project accounting and close-process improvements
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP / IFRS
- Support audits with revenue recognition and contract accounting documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and improve financial accuracy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of accounting/finance experience
- Strong experience with POC / ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Experience in project-based or long-term contract environments
- Solid understanding of cost accounting and margin analysis
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Compliance with US GAAP / IFRS revenue recognition standards
- Ability to perform the stated physical demands, including regularly talking or hearing and frequently standing, walking, and using hands and arms
