About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of complex engineering and manufacturing projects
  • Serve as primary customer contact for technical requirements, schedules, deliverables, documentation, project status, and commercial matters
  • Manage customer change orders, scope changes, technical clarifications, and project documentation
  • Establish project objectives, budgets, schedules, milestones, and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, dependencies, resources, milestones, and critical paths
  • Monitor project performance and identify delays, risks, constraints, and recovery actions
  • Coordinate Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and other stakeholders
  • Lead project meetings and track responsibilities, decisions, and action items
  • Monitor budgets, actual costs, commitments, forecasts, and cost exposures
  • Evaluate cost and schedule impacts of changes to project scope
  • Identify and manage technical, commercial, schedule, and execution risks
  • Prepare and communicate project status reports
  • Review product designs, technical specifications, customer requirements, standards, and performance requirements
  • Provide technical leadership for system engineering and packaging of pumping, vaporizing, and other engineered systems
  • Prepare, review, or coordinate PFDs, P&IDs, technical documentation, and engineering deliverables
  • Select mechanical components and coordinate technical documentation and engineering justification
  • Create, review, and modify BOMs for complex systems and engineered equipment
  • Coordinate technical interfaces across mechanical, process, piping, instrumentation, electrical, controls, manufacturing, and engineering disciplines
  • Provide technical support to Sales, Manufacturing, field/site personnel, and customers
  • Facilitate resolution of complex technical and project execution issues
  • Maintain project records, documentation, schedules, cost information, correspondence, and project data
  • Support continuous improvement in project execution, engineering processes, cost control, scheduling, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality requirements, safety procedures, contracts, and regulations
  • Provide guidance and technical/project leadership to less experienced project managers, engineers, and team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and extensive relevant experience may be considered
  • Typically 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in engineering, technical project management, manufacturing, or a related industrial environment
  • Experience independently managing complex, high-value, or technically challenging engineered projects through multiple phases
  • Experience in cryogenic, industrial gas, natural gas, energy, process equipment, or related industries highly preferred
  • Experience in large manufacturing operations, engineered-to-order environments, construction sites, or industrial facilities preferred
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, change orders, technical requirements, customer relationships, and cross-functional project teams
  • Working knowledge of engineered equipment, mechanical systems, piping systems, instrumentation, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and/or packaged process systems highly desired
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, PFDs, P&IDs, technical specifications, contracts, and customer requirements
  • Experience with engineering/design software such as AutoCAD 2D highly desired
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification highly desired
  • Advanced project management and project execution skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of multidisciplinary engineering systems
  • Financial and commercial awareness, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, change management, and risk assessment
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project or comparable scheduling software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer-facing, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, decision-making, time-management, and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation and recovery strategies
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate with shop-floor employees, engineers, functional leaders, customers, suppliers, and senior executives
  • Strong attention to detail
