About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review project proposals to determine time frames, funding, limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation
- Interface with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties
- Oversee and manage resource allocation and utilization across multiple projects
- Direct staff activities to keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate interdepartmental functions to minimize delays
- Provide technical advice and regularly review project status, resolve problems, and plan future actions with staff
- Review status reports and modify schedules or plans as required
- Prepare project reports for management and provide regular status updates
- Interface with customers regarding contract and technical requirements
- Anticipate schedule delays and initiate alternative action plans
- Interface with customers regarding schedules, meetings, problems, and program status
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Five years of experience related to manufacturing industries
- Strong project management, problem solving, and customer service skills
- Demonstrated originality and initiative
- Considerable flexibility of methods required to meet program goals
- Excellent interpersonal relations, customer service, and oral and written communication skills
- Excellent MS Office application experience
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted if it provides the listed knowledge, skills, and abilities
