About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review project proposals to determine time frames, funding, limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation
  • Interface with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties
  • Oversee and manage resource allocation and utilization across multiple projects
  • Direct staff activities to keep projects on schedule and within budget
  • Coordinate interdepartmental functions to minimize delays
  • Provide technical advice and meet regularly with project staff to review status, resolve problems, and plan future actions
  • Review status reports and modify schedules or plans as required
  • Prepare project reports for management and provide regular status updates
  • Interface with customers regarding contract and technical requirements
  • Anticipate schedule delays and initiate alternative action plans
  • Interface with customers regarding schedules, meetings, problems, and program status
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Five years of experience related to manufacturing industries
  • Strong project management, problem solving, and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated originality and initiative
  • Flexibility of methods to meet program goals
  • Excellent interpersonal relations, customer service, and oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent MS Office application experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted
  • Ability to travel extensively internationally
  • Clean driving history and driving abstract
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. may be required
  • Ability to comply with safety requirements and wear required PPE
