About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage multiple global fabrication centers, including manufacturing operations and supply chain management
  • Own responsibility for safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost, and lean manufacturing initiatives across fabrication centers
  • Serve as a strategic leader reporting to the Business Unit President
  • Hold profit and loss responsibility for the fabrication centers
  • Align methodologies across the group using a data-driven approach to ensure consistency, efficiency, and repeatability
  • Drive customer service, global teamwork and collaboration, global execution, production innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Provide global operational leadership for fabrication centers using metal fabrication and welding processes with stainless steel and aluminum
  • Review rationalization of global manufactured products and recommend global product manufacturing strategies
  • Work with Sales, Engineering, and Project Management to optimize production capacity and meet budgets and schedules
  • Identify and implement operational efficiency and cost-reduction improvements
  • Establish production standards, budgets, and cost controls
  • Develop and execute manufacturing process plans covering personnel, safety, purchasing, subcontracting, IT, facilities, tooling, and equipment
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities with organizational functions and suppliers to optimize personnel, machines, and equipment utilization
  • Optimize the supply chain through localization, verticalization, strategic agreements, economies of scale, and related initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree preferred in engineering, engineering management, operations management, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience managing industrial equipment fabrication, including P&L responsibility, meeting project budgets, and schedule commitments
  • High regard for quality and safety systems
  • Ability to manage a team of safety and quality experts
  • Experience operating multiple production facilities domestically and internationally preferred
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Supply Chain Management is a plus
  • Good commercial and technical acumen
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of resources
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain operations and experience developing a robust program to manage vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Knowledge related to reviewing contracts and agreements; ability to work closely with legal and technical teams to evaluate proposals
  • Written communication skills
  • Analytical skills for identifying complex problems, evaluating options, and implementing solutions or corrective actions
  • Organizational skills to complete duties and projects on time and within budget
  • Interpersonal skills to build constructive working relationships and achieve production goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, MRP/ERP software, and scheduling software
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, work independently, and be detail-oriented and thorough
