About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee benefit verification, benefit exploration, and prior authorization activities for patients receiving physician office and ancillary services
Oversee patient assistance program activities, including assessing eligible patients and using appropriate programs to support access to care
Lead day-to-day operations of internal and external revenue cycle management teams
Ensure team accountability, productivity, and quality standards
Support timely initiation of care and prompt responses to patient inquiries
Proactively support practices in addressing anticipated barriers to patient care
Communicate transition updates, performance metrics, and operational insights to leadership and stakeholders
Provide training and guidance to internal and external teams and new hires during transition processes
Work with regional partners, practice leaders, vendors, and the centralized revenue cycle management team to drive consistency, optimize workflows, and support change management

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of relevant management or team leader experience in patient onboarding/intake or revenue cycle management
Physician office or physician-administered drug experience highly preferred
Experience with infusion revenue cycle management, including benefit verification and prior authorization processes related to specialty infusions or physician-administered therapies, strongly preferred
Experience leading benefit verification, prior authorization, patient assistance, or other related patient onboarding/intake functions
Strong knowledge of revenue cycle best practices, payor coverage policies, and health plan benefit design
Ability to analyze patient intake processes and communicate strategies to provide best patient care and experience
Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex transitions
Proactive, adaptable, and able to work in fast-paced, evolving environments
Familiarity with EMR/EHR and RCM systems, such as Athena or WeInfuse, or similar platforms, is a plus
Prior experience with change management or operational leadership is a plus
Experience with EDI enrollments, contract interpretation, and revenue cycle reporting is a plus
