About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and optimize software components powering advanced spectroscopy solutions
- Work on a mobile application, web platform, and dedicated ML model runtime
- Collaborate with the software development team and other departments to design, develop, and maintain product features meeting internal and external user needs
- Rigorously test software components to ensure high quality standards
- Ensure security, availability, and high performance of software components
- Reproduce and fix reported and discovered issues
- Improve software products at the user interface, technical, and development process levels
- Maintain pragmatic, development- and operations-focused technical documentation
- Identify automation opportunities, implement, validate, and monitor them after deployment
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and technologies used by NIRLAB
Requirements
What you’ll need- Open minded, willing to learn new skills and share your expertise
- Proven experience building complex, production grade software products
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Advanced degrees or certifications in machine learning or cloud solutions are a plus
- Proficiency in at least one of: Python, C#, Typescript
- Strong experience with at least one of: Django, Django rest framework, Xamarin, .NET MAUI, Svelte, SvelteKit
- Proficiency with version control systems (git)
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (kanban, scrum)
- Experience with containerization (docker/docker compose; Kubernetes a plus)
- Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Infomaniak) is a plus
- Experience with database management (MySQL/PostgreSQL) is a plus
- Experience designing intuitive user interfaces and coherent user experiences is a plus
- Knowledge of NIR spectroscopy and its applications is a plus
