About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, conduct, and report on confidential organizational investigations
  • Support leaders and employees with routine HR matters and Tier 2 and 3 HR requests
  • Coach leaders on employee conduct, company risk, policy administration, and corrective action
  • Exercise independent decision-making in the corrective action process
  • Manage the progressive discipline process and evaluate trends requiring escalation or reinforcement
  • Support or conduct Ethics investigations and update the Ethics team on progress and dispositions
  • Recommend improvements to employee relations standard operating procedures
  • Maintain, interpret, and reinforce employment laws, regulations, rules, and company policies
  • Partner with Legal and Human Resources Business Partners on trends and desired behaviors
  • Conduct research, gather documentation, and prepare case summary reports
  • Maintain complete and accurate case files in the case management system
  • Research comparables and implement AI to simplify processes
  • Manage the ER mailbox for initial support requests
  • Travel occasionally for onsite investigations
  • Support emergency response efforts when required, including work outside normal hours or tasks outside typical responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience conducting investigations
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and demonstrated experience dealing with legal issues
  • Personal confidence and strong initiative
  • Effective listening and ability to influence others
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office desktop tools and electronic communications, such as email and calendars
  • Ability to manage and execute conflicting priorities in a fast-paced, high-stress corporate business environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage varied resources
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to establish rapport and trust with all levels of leadership
