About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide value-added financial services to internal and external customers
- Review and interpret the impact of financial reporting proposals from governing bodies
- Prepare analytical studies using historical, forecast, and pro-forma financial data
- Develop comprehensive financial data reports for internal and external customers
- Compile, organize, and format qualitative and quantitative data for reporting
- Identify and research reporting issues and recommend solutions
- Assist with adoption of new reporting requirements
- Gather data and prepare regulatory schedules, pro-forma calculations, testimony, and data requests
- Assist with reviewing and analyzing regulatory documents
- Apply technical knowledge to financial processes, procedures, and tasks
- Collaboratively develop solutions between corporate and business units
- Document work fully and accurately
- Identify, analyze, and improve processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Support emergency response efforts when required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Four-year degree in a business discipline
- Strategic modeling experience across the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
- Knowledge of PC applications
- 2–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, regulatory, or a related field
- Multiple functional experience
- Working knowledge of financial statements, metrics, measures, and strategic business initiatives
- Understanding of finance and accounting relationships among financial statements
- Data analysis skills
- Time management skills
- Quality orientation
- Ability to obtain and interpret economic and industry data
- Ability to support regulatory initiatives and prepare regulatory schedules, pro-forma calculations, testimony, and data requests
- CPA preferred
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
- Ability to support emergency response efforts, including work outside normal hours or outside typical responsibilities
