About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform industry, competitor, and customer analyses
Monitor and evaluate trends, opportunities, and barriers
Gather quantitative and qualitative data
Build Excel models to analyze data and financial decisions
Leverage enterprise risk reporting information and research primary and secondary risk impacts
Use risk registers, risk dashboards, tracking metrics, and mitigation-strategy monitoring
Identify issues, problems, and opportunities and develop appropriate solutions
Create and update materials for the Risk Management Committee and Strategy Council
Compile, organize, and format data for internal and external reporting
Research reporting issues and assist with adoption of new reporting requirements
Build business cases and financial models
Lead project tasks, tracking resources and deliverables under Senior/Lead Consultant direction
Conduct analyses for strategy, risk, and insurance programs
Apply econometric, actuarial science, and statistical methodologies
Recommend risk appetite, risk tolerances, capital allocations, and returns on allocated capital
Analyze financial, market, and regulatory environments from customer and stakeholder perspectives
Partner with internal and external subject-matter experts to test and refine risk-assessment methodologies
Translate technical analyses into communication materials
Develop and deliver PowerPoint presentations for diverse audiences, including senior leadership
Design and implement strategy methodologies, scenario planning, strategic frameworks, and roadmaps
Lead execution of strategy methodologies across cross-functional teams and business plans
Prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
Support emergency response efforts when required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Experience using Excel to analyze data
Experience applying economic, statistic, and econometric concepts/methods
4-6 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of two years
Proven experience producing accurate and timely work with minimal supervision
Proven experience identifying and resolving complex problems and managing conflicts
Proven experience leading and coordinating projects and supervising the work of others
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Planning, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word
Experience handling large amounts of data and building financial or other decision-support models in Excel
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint storytelling ability
Advanced interpersonal and written communication skills
Ability to represent the company to external stakeholders and provide presentation preparation and leadership to senior executives
Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future
