About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review, analyze, and make decisions on credit applications
  • Speak with dealers when more information is required or when applications will be declined or conditioned
  • Perform investigations on credit applications, including pulling bureaus, verifying fraud alerts, and contacting banks and other credit institutions
  • Perform data entry for new and rehashed applications within a two-hour turnaround time when required
  • Review all contracts on hold in discounting
  • Answer incoming dealer calls using a call center telephone system
  • Make outbound calls to dealers when required
  • Provide effective customer service to dealers by telephone or fax

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in retail or consumer credit; auto lending experience is an asset
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with dealers, co-workers, managers, and staff from other departments
  • Interpersonal skills, complex problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts from as early as 8:30 a.m. to as late as 10:00 p.m. EST
  • Saturdays included in the work schedule
  • Proficiency with MS applications
  • Bilingual French and English written and spoken is mandatory
  • Understanding and analysis of financial statements preferred
  • University or College degree preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Successful completion of background screenings required
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
