About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Draft, review, and analyze domestic and international contracts, amendments, termination agreements, notices, and other legal instruments
  • Provide legal support and guidance on commercial and corporate matters in Brazil and other countries where the company operates
  • Provide general legal advice and monitor corporate, trademark, patent, and intellectual property matters
  • Provide preventive legal support on tax, labor, and social security matters, assisting the Finance and People & Management departments
  • Provide legal support in civil, commercial, tax, labor, and environmental litigation
  • Draft court filings and necessary legal procedures, and attend hearings representing and defending the company
  • Coordinate outsourced civil and tax litigation law firms
  • Support regulatory law matters, including licenses, permits, and certificates
  • Participate in and support collective bargaining negotiations with labor unions
  • Comply with internal regulations and requirements relating to quality, environmental preservation, health, hygiene, occupational safety, and 5S
  • Use safety tools and equipment when required
  • Perform other duties inherent to the position or assigned by the immediate supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law
  • Admission to the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
  • Professional experience in Compliance and Corporate Contracts
  • Knowledge of legal regulations and texts
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsibility
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Yellow Belt Compliance training is a plus
