About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and facilitate the inventory, normalization, and loading of approximately 5,000 to 10,000 manual test cases into Xray
- Map approximately 40,000 to 50,000 automated test cases to manual test cases for about 100 enterprise applications
- Establish minimum content requirements for cases sourced from Word, Excel, handwritten notes, and other formats
- Use automated-test data sheets as the source record for automation coverage
- Manage BDD cases written in Cucumber through Git integration with Xray
- Train, lead, and guide manual testers and application development teams
- Establish ownership, intake, and review cadence with application teams
- Track progress and report weekly on applications onboarded, cases loaded, cases mapped, blockers, documentation gaps, and backlog
- Create, develop, provide, or coordinate system training, materials, and educational tools
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for test-case loading and ongoing maintenance
- Draft SOPs for Xray within the SDLC and change-request process
- Define traceability rules among manual cases, automated cases, requirements or user stories, and defects
- Identify duplicate, obsolete, incomplete, and conflicting test cases and facilitate disposition
- Set repository conventions for naming, folder structure, test sets, and test-data handling
- Advise the client regarding system inputs, processes, and outputs
- Negotiate plans and timeframes with clients
- Produce reports, timelines, and graphics for management, customers, investors, and relevant parties
- Maintain documentation and coordinate or perform testing of system modifications
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to meet client needs
- Research and analyze system difficulties and their effects
- Satisfy data sampling, project analysis, testing verification, and other user requests from client databases
Requirements
What you’ll need- US Citizen with ability to successfully complete federal background investigation
- Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of experience as a business analyst, test analyst, or in a comparable facilitation role across an enterprise application portfolio
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional work without direct authority over the people doing the work
- Experience with a test management repository
- Working knowledge of manual test-case design and automated testing concepts in Selenium, Playwright, and BDD/Cucumber
- Experience writing standard operating procedures and fitting a tool into an SDLC and change-control process
- Strong status reporting, backlog management, and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to standardize inconsistent source documentation into a repository structure and enforce standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software program
- Extremely organized with great attention to detail
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, motivate, and organize
