About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Clean and maintain a wide variety of floors using specialized professional cleaning methods
  • Perform floor stripping, floor buffing, heavy-duty carpet cleaning, and other specialized cleaning tasks
  • Remove and appropriately dispose of trash from various departments
  • Clean, stock, sweep, mop, sanitize, and vacuum offices, public areas, hallways, stairs, lobbies, guest rooms, closets, and other assigned work areas
  • Assist with laundry and/or linen removal
  • Keep all public areas pristine
  • Promote and adhere to strict safety guidelines and training
  • Use proper PPE while handling cleaning solutions and chemicals
  • Perform other duties supporting department or unit success

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of experience demonstrating working knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment and involvement in or intermediate knowledge of corporate safety programs
  • Ability to use floor care equipment, extractors, riding extractors, floor scrubbers, and auto scrubbers
  • Valid driver's license with a three (3) year clean driving record to qualify under the NMS insurance company policy
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and callouts
  • Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Must obtain a flu shot pre-hire and annually thereafter
  • Ability to work around harsh chemicals and cleaning solutions while using required PPE
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel rotationally to Bethel, Alaska from the point of hire
  • Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, seeing, tasting/smelling, and carrying weight/lifting
