About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage various contracts for multi-party renewable energy projects
- Monitor and process required work scopes, including variations
- Work closely with the project planning function
- Draft notices under different contracts
- Maintain the Notice Register for notices to and from contractors
- Circulate notices to relevant stakeholders
- Support Finance with invoice verification and approval by team leads
- Create purchase orders for new agreements
- Manage and process Variation Orders
- Evaluate and finalize monthly Cost Certificates
- Administer monthly CTA reports and SteerCo meeting submissions
- Provide input to construction, maintenance, monthly and CTA reports
- Coordinate and lead bi-weekly internal progress meetings
- Review contractors' Monthly Progress Reports and reconcile notice registers
- Develop and manage the Contract Management Schedule
- Ensure teams understand contractual requirements at different project stages
- Identify, assess and mitigate contractual and commercial risks
- Administer monthly risk-register updates by team leads
- Participate in company due diligence
- Attend key meetings and record minutes/action points
- Distribute accurate meeting minutes to stakeholders
- Circulate monthly Contractor CPM Schedules to NOA Trading
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders including project teams, Finance, TradeCo, EPC contractors, lenders' technical advisors and suppliers/service providers
- Travel to and attend on-site meetings as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Project Administration Qualification
- Legal, Quantity Surveying Qualification or equivalent
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Contracts Management
- 5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector
- Knowledge of legislation, policies, procedures and standards
- Records and information management
- Understanding and interpretation of contracts
- Understanding of financial accounting principles
- Attention to detail
- Interactive communication
- Teamwork
- Writing skills
- Valid South African driver's license
- Willingness/ability to travel and attend on-site meetings as required
