About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive the CEO’s thought leadership strategy, including securing speaking engagements, panels, bylines, and media opportunities
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop points of view, talking points, and signature content
- Prepare executive spokespeople for high-stakes media engagements, interviews, and public appearances
- Own NobleReach’s core messaging framework and narrative
- Serve as the final check on message consistency across departments
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and external stakeholders
- Oversee media strategy, including press releases, statements, and rapid response to media inquiries
- Escalate sensitive matters to the CMO, Staff Counsel, and CEO as needed
- Provide strategic guidance and message alignment to department leaders for internal communications
- Protect and elevate NobleReach’s brand and ensure communications reflect its values and mission
- Lead and mentor communications staff and coordinate with retained communications or PR consultants
- Monitor industry trends and emerging communication channels and recommend future investments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
- 12+ years experience in a communications role, including direct experience supporting C-suite or executive thought leadership
- Proven track record building executive visibility programs, including speaking engagements, bylines, and media placements, for a senior leader
- Superior writing ability in a journalistic style customary for corporate and external publications
- Established media relationships and sound judgment advising senior leadership on media strategy, including in sensitive or crisis situations
- Experience developing and maintaining an organization-wide messaging framework across multiple departments and audiences
- Demonstrated fluency using AI tools to accelerate the communications cycle, including drafting and iterating on bylines, talking points, and messaging frameworks; synthesizing research and stakeholder input; and pressure-testing arguments before external publication
- Clear judgment about where human voice and editorial review are non-negotiable
- Experience building repeatable AI-assisted workflows that scale a small communications function
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with corporate management, employees, media, and the larger community
- Thorough understanding of market developments, communications strategies, and practices
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to have an impact on society
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and exercise flexibility and good judgment in complex situations
