About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own product features end-to-end, from shaping ideas with Product and Design through shipping, measuring, and iterating
Build features supporting multi-dimensional personalization, A/B experimentation, and analytics
Make technical decisions with a product lens
Develop and maintain a high-quality, high-performance Go codebase
Mentor colleagues and raise engineering best practices
Influence team vision and long-range goals
Run R&D spikes when the path forward is unclear
Collaborate across engineering, product, and design in a cross-functional team

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of backend development experience
Strong skills in Python, PHP, Ruby, or similar, with readiness to work in Go daily
Product company experience, ideally startup or scale-up
B2C experience strongly preferred
Solid system design skills
Experience with SQL solutions including MySQL and PostgreSQL
Experience with NoSQL solutions including Redis and Cassandra
Experience with Kafka or similar event-driven systems
Passion for building easy-to-use, simple APIs
Experience with K8s and microservice architecture is a bonus
Track record of shipping experiments, testing hypotheses, and measuring impact is a bonus
Comfort working AI-native with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar is a bonus
