About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own product features end-to-end, from shaping ideas with Product and Design through shipping, measuring, and iterating
- Build features supporting multi-dimensional personalization, A/B experimentation, and analytics
- Make technical decisions with a product lens
- Develop and maintain a high-quality, high-performance Go codebase
- Mentor colleagues and raise engineering best practices
- Influence team vision and long-range goals
- Run R&D spikes when the path forward is unclear
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and design in a cross-functional team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of backend development experience with strong skills in Python, PHP, Ruby, or similar, and readiness to work in Go daily
- Product company experience, ideally startup or scale-up
- B2C experience strongly preferred
- Solid system design skills
- Experience with SQL solutions including MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience with NoSQL solutions including Redis and Cassandra
- Experience with Kafka or similar event-driven systems
- Passion for building easy-to-use, understandable APIs
- Experience with Kubernetes and microservice architecture is a bonus
- Track record of experiments shipped, hypotheses tested, and impact measured is a bonus
- Comfort working with AI-native tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor is a bonus
