About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage building electrical projects end to end, from project initiation through closeout
  • Plan and execute projects in accordance with schedules, budgets, and quality requirements
  • Gather and analyze client needs and propose appropriate solutions
  • Review and control the quality of plans, specifications, reports, and technical studies
  • Monitor schedules, budgets, risks, and issues
  • Implement oversight activities and carry out project closeout activities
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary projects and facilitate communication among stakeholders
  • Design and oversee the design of electrical systems for institutional, commercial, and industrial projects
  • Conduct technical site surveys and perform engineering calculations
  • Prepare reports, specifications, drawings, and technical data sheets
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, legislation, and quality requirements
  • Perform construction site supervision and monitor work progress
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals, contract documents, and calls for tenders
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and partners
  • Manage client contracts, budgets, and schedules

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in building electrical systems, including project management
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Strong knowledge of standards, codes, and regulations applicable to the building sector
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and effective priority management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in French, both spoken and written
  • Fluency in English required to work with English-speaking colleagues and partners
