About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and size structural elements as part of multidisciplinary projects
Perform advanced structural analyses
Prepare, sign, and approve technical reports in accordance with applicable requirements and quality standards
Prepare and submit cost estimate reports
Collaborate with the project delivery team to ensure the quality of engineering work and projects
Provide technical support for on-site work
Participate in preparing service proposals, contract documents, and bids
Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical practices and requirements
Actively participate in project management as the discipline engineer
Perform any other related duties associated with the role of Structural Engineer
Design, analyze, and inspect a variety of structures in the industrial, manufacturing, commercial, and institutional sectors

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
Five (5) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience designing structural elements
Proficiency with SAFI, ADA, Robot, and/or STAAD Pro (required)
Excellent priority-management skills in a multidisciplinary environment
Technical rigor and a strong commitment to quality standards
Leadership and influencing skills
Proactive, initiative-driven, and a strong team player
Fluency in spoken and written French
Functional knowledge of English may be required when communicating with English-speaking suppliers or partners
