About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain financial records for all Nordex North America entities
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting schedules and supporting documentation
Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations to management
Record and reconcile general ledger transactions
Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals
Administer lease accounting activities and ensure compliance with IFRS 16
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
Support internal and external audit requests
Ensure compliance with IFRS, corporate accounting policies, and internal control requirements
Research accounting issues and recommend appropriate accounting treatment
Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Finance, and business leaders
Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving accounting processes, procedures, and controls
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Maintain and promote workplace safety standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; Bachelor's Degree in Finance may be considered with demonstrated accounting experience
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting, account reconciliations, balance sheet review, and audit support
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Must possess a full valid driver's license and be insurable under the company's auto insurance policy
Strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures
Fluency in spoken and understood English
Experience with IFRS financial reporting and IFRS 16 lease accounting preferred
Experience working in a manufacturing, renewable energy, or multinational organization preferred
Financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting experience preferred
ERP experience, preferably SAP
Experience supporting external and internal audits
CPA preferred; candidates actively pursuing CPA certification are encouraged to apply
