About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the single point of contact for the project's financial profile and performance
  • Track and explain revenue, cost, and margin changes throughout project execution
  • Maintain and administer the Project Report, including forecasts, actuals, risks, and opportunities
  • Track and analyze project costs and revenue recognition
  • Prepare the monthly forecast proposal for the Project Manager and Cost Owners
  • Work with the Project Manager to understand cost impacts and influence project profitability
  • Track and explain monthly forecast changes
  • Understand and communicate project risks and opportunities
  • Plan, invoice, and timely collect customer cash in coordination with the Project Manager
  • Process guarantees and payment securities and ensure their timely return or release
  • Act as Cost Owner for commercial and financial cost items
  • Interface between the Finance Department and Project Team
  • Consolidate, analyze, and report Project CM and exposure from risks and opportunities
  • Analyze actuals and purchase orders to estimate cost to complete with Cost Owners and Project Manager
  • Review, challenge, and approve project figures before submission
  • Coordinate with accounting for accurate and efficient reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Support Nordex’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants and renewable energy solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of business finance experience, with emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities where problems are complex
  • Ability to identify areas of financial risk, inform management, and develop contingency plans
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling skills
  • Strong computer literacy required to stay updated with current analytical tools and to monitor business performance
  • Experience with JD Edwards platform is a plus
  • Skilled communicator with strong written and verbal abilities, capable of summarizing trends into concise operational reports
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the staff
  • Positive and professional attitude and strong leadership skills
  • Must speak and understand English fluently
  • Must demonstrate commitment to safety protocols and procedures
  • Must ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Must properly use applicable safety equipment
  • Candidates selected for positions handling company funds must undergo a credit check
