About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the single point of contact for the Project's financial profile and performance
- Track and explain revenue, cost, and margin changes throughout project execution
- Maintain and administer the Project Report, including forecasts, actuals, risks, and opportunities
- Track and analyze project costs and revenue recognition for accuracy against execution progress
- Prepare monthly forecast proposals for the Project Manager and Cost Owners
- Work with the Project Manager to understand cost impacts and influence project profitability
- Track and explain monthly forecast changes
- Understand and communicate project risks and opportunities
- Plan, invoice, and timely collect customer cash in coordination with the Project Manager
- Process guarantees and payment securities and ensure timely return or release
- Act as Cost Owner for commercial and financial project cost items and interface between Finance and the Project Team
- Consolidate, analyze, and report Project CM and its historical development, including exposure from risks and opportunities
- Use contingencies and provisions to support stable CM development
- Analyze actuals and purchase orders to estimate cost to complete with Cost Owners and Project Manager
- Review, challenge, and approve project figures before submission
- Coordinate with accounting for accurate and efficient reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required
- MBA strongly preferred
- 3-5 years of business finance experience, with emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities where problems are complex
- Ability to identify areas of financial risk, inform management, and develop contingency plans
- Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling skills
- Strong computer literacy and ability to use current analytical tools
- Experience with JD Edwards platform is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a work environment with continuous change and diverse challenges
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to summarize trends into concise operational reports
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Positive and professional attitude and strong leadership skills
- Candidates selected for positions regularly handling credit cards, cash, or company funds must undergo a credit check
- Strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
- Proper use of applicable safety equipment, including eye protection, hearing protectors, steel-toe boots, and hard hats
- Fluent English speaking and comprehension required for safety and job-related communication
