About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coordinate, and oversee logistics and supply chain projects from initiation to completion
  • Manage end-to-end processes and budgets for assigned projects
  • Own execution of logistics supplier contracts
  • Manage contractors, personnel, orders, fulfillment cycles, and delivery-system processes
  • Complete customs documentation with carriers, brokers, and forwarders
  • Lead meetings, prepare reports, and provide regular updates to senior management
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed during vessel discharge, storage, trucking, loading, and port operations
  • Ensure route surveys and route improvements support contractual delivery schedules
  • Plan, execute, and monitor logistics and supply chain projects aligned with company goals and client requirements
  • Manage risks and develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions
  • Ensure logistics suppliers have the required permits
  • Manage return logistics for assigned projects
  • Collaborate with transportation suppliers, procurement, and internal stakeholders
  • Use logistics software and project management tools to track KPIs and performance metrics
  • Communicate shipment and delivery status
  • Resolve logistical issues and project roadblocks
  • Analyze cost drivers, processes, and specifications to identify cost and performance improvements
  • Create commercial invoices and packing lists
  • Stay informed about logistics technology advances and apply appropriate technology to improve processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (3-5 years) required
  • 3+ years’ experience in transportation planning/project cargo required
  • Ability to read and understand scopes of work and MSA contracts
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations for different countries and compliances
  • Experience working with cost models and/or performing cost analysis
  • Excellent Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • Strong process and data analysis focus
  • Demonstrated understanding of international and domestic transportation documentation requirements
  • Knowledge of rigging and lifting tooling is a plus
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally in a short time and ability to obtain a passport
  • Excellent oral, written, organization, and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability/experience working in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to successfully complete all Canadian regulatory laws surrounding pre-employment screening requirements
  • Must be able to work in Canada with no company sponsorship and have the ability to obtain a US passport
  • Fluency in English and French is mandatory; Spanish and/or German is a plus
  • Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company’s auto insurance policy
  • Commitment to safety protocols, procedures, regulations, and company policies
  • Ability to speak and understand English fluently for safety and job-related communication
  • Proper use of applicable safety equipment, including eye protection, hearing protectors, steel-toe boots, and hard hats
