About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and End-of-Line (EOL) inspections to verify compliance with quality standards, technical specifications, and legal requirements
  • Monitor production processes to identify material, component, and assembly quality deviations
  • Support timely resolution of deviations to minimize production impact
  • Open, document, and follow up on non-conformities, deviations, and non-compliance reports
  • Ensure effective corrective actions and closure
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, corrective actions, and quality documentation
  • Support root cause analysis with internal stakeholders
  • Support development and implementation of corrective and preventive action plans
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities with production, engineering, and other stakeholders
  • Communicate and collaborate with suppliers regarding received materials and supplier performance
  • Participate in and support internal and external audits
  • Operate and interpret measurement and inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and electronic measuring tools
  • Provide technical guidance and quality-related training support to production teams
  • Perform other duties supporting quality and plant objectives
  • Report to the PQA Manager and work closely with production and global areas

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in quality or Technical Field preferred
  • 3 years of professional experience in quality control in the manufacturing industry
  • 2 years of professional experience in quality control in wind turbine manufacturing preferred
  • Solid knowledge of quality inspection techniques and quality standards
  • Understanding of electrical or mechanical systems and components
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and quality management systems (e.g., SAP QM)
  • Experience in opening and following up on non-conformities related to the production line
  • Responsible, structured, and independent work approach
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with different departments
  • Strong work ethic and dedication to completing tasks
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Ability to handle constantly changing challenges and quickly adapt to new situations
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical or mechanical schematics
  • Understanding of ISO 9000:2000 Quality System is a plus
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Ability to properly use applicable safety equipment, including eye protection, hearing protectors, steel-toe boots, and hard hats
  • Speak and understand English fluently to communicate safety and job-related information, follow safety instructions, and collaborate with English-speaking supervisors and team members
