About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbines
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults
- Carry out inspections and identify potential issues before failures occur
- Repair or replace turbine components in accordance with company procedures
- Complete service reports, maintenance records and inspection documentation accurately and on time
- Ensure all work complies with safety, quality and environmental standards
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and contribute to a strong safety culture
- Use technical documentation, manuals and digital systems to support maintenance activities
- Support commissioning, upgrades and retrofit activities when required
- Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles in a safe and operational condition
- Collaborate with colleagues, contractors and customers to ensure efficient site operations
- Participate in the on-call roster and respond to turbine breakdowns when required
- Travel to wind farm sites as necessary
- Seek opportunities to improve performance, reliability and operational efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic or equivalent trade qualification
- Current A-Grade Electrical Licence (mandatory)
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, utilities, mining, construction, renewable energy or similar technical environments
- Wind industry experience is advantageous
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and procedures
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to working safely and following established HSE requirements
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying environmental conditions
- Physically capable of performing hands-on field work
- Good computer skills and ability to work with digital maintenance systems
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently
- Valid driver's licence
- Willingness to travel and work in regional or remote locations when required
- Passion for renewable energy and continuous professional development
